As I wrote before, each tour brings new and new experiences with customers. It's such a never-ending story. The interesting thing about working with people is that with some you \"click\" immediately, the first few seconds are enough and both parties know that we have found \"our person\". Sometimes that momentary relationship is neutral, other times we simply don't click, but we remain professional, kind and open, simply human, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few days ago I had two groups of clients on a tour - a couple from Germany and two women from the USA. There was an instant click with the German couple, lots of fun and conversation. The women from the USA were more reserved, obviously disappointed that we didn't see the northern lights, and they were cold. Which I understand, because it was -30\u00b0C. Then they asked me if I would drive them to their accommodation (about 15 minutes outside the city), which was not planned. But the weather wasn't the best, we didn't see anything, so I drove them. When they got out of the car, they half-heartedly said \"thank you\" and didn't even turn around when I wished them good night and have a nice day. Well, what can you do, that happens too. I just shook my head and spent the way home listening to hits on the radio at full blast!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sometimes it's a real adventure. On other tour, I had incredibly slow clients, for whom everything took forever, later on we lost our patience (the rest of us) and made fun of them a little, well more like to vent our frustration and just among ourselves. One couple then asked me if I would take them on the bus station after the tour with their suitcases. I had it on the way home, so I agreed. Not to leave it just like that, they invited me to dinner. Before it was prepared, they went to pick up their suitcases. But what happened? Their hotel was on fire, everyone was running out, only they were running in. Then about 5 fire trucks arrived, complete panic in the town! Everything went well, they picked up the luggages and the hotel didn't burn down. So I took them to the bus station, where the lady found out that she didn't have a phone. So we went back to the restaurant, where luckily it was! And then finally home, way too late!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some adventures are not entirely pleasant. We had a large group (29 adults and 6 children) on a chasing aurora on snowmobiles tour. And it was super cold ( -35\u00b0C), in such weather it is unwise to go on such a tour, let alone with children. An adult can endure it somehow, tough it out, knows that it will end at some point. But kids? Kids can't do this, they are here and now, and they get cold much faster than adults. But we dressed everyone in overalls, gave them gloves, boots... But we knew even then that it wouldn't be enough. We were 3 guides with them, 1 at the beginning, another in the middle and the last one at the end. We reached the first place where we stop and which is about 15 minutes from the \u201cparking lot\u201d for snowmobiles. All the children were crying because they were cold, and some adults also wanted to go back. There was nothing left to do but to split into two parts \u2013 I returned with the kids and others, the rest continued on. Fortunately, a heated bus was waiting for them, so they got warm soon. And as soon as they left the snowmobiles and ran to the bus, a beautiful aurora lit up in the sky! But they didn\u2019t see at all\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And even if nothing special happens, I can always find some nice or joyful moment \u2013 \u200b\u200bfor example, when we are the first group on snowmobiles in the forest and there is no one else anywhere, the whole forest is ours and we are driving through freshly fallen snow. Or even just petting the dogs on a husky farm. I have my favorite there \u2013 she is a puppy, a bit red-haired and a little fox-like in the face, so I call her \u201cfoxy dog\u201d. And she is beautiful!!! I would take her home right away. Today I was cuddling her again and she held my hand with both paws so that I wouldn\u2019t stop\u2026 So cute!!!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
