During the training week in October, Andrés told us about the Snow Hotel, where every winter they build a part of the hotel out of snow and ice. That's when we decided that we had to see this. And we were lucky, one day we had a day off, took the car and set off. The journey was carried out in an enthusiastic spirit, the radio was at full blast and singing from all rows.
At the hotel, we proved ourselves as guides and we had free entry! And it was beautiful! I admired the skill and ability of everyone who made up the entire hotel. Ice bar, where you can order a shot in a glass made of ice and after drinking it, smash it against the wall… A restaurant where every column and every wall is decorated with different decorations. The overarching theme of this year's hotel was "Life is an adventure" – so many variations, underwater world, space (including spaceships and a face-hugger), travel, animals… You name it. And then every hotel room was decorated completely differently!!!! Some were incredible, some a little weaker, but all beautiful! And there was also a beautiful chapel!
Of course, we couldn't resist and tried the beds, very comfortable! Good for a quick look and a moment, but I wouldn't want to be there for the night, I would probably freeze! You could see how much they cared about the lighting. Each room was slightly backlit, as were some of the works on the walls (or parts of them). It was beautiful!
And the second experience that we couldn't miss was the sauna with a lake dipping. The sauna has two rooms, outside there are stairs leading to the lake, where there is a hole cut in the ice... There are also stairs leading to the water, because the depth is about 2 meters. Next to it is a tepee with a fire, where you can rest. Thanks to the Pyrenean training, where Ráďa and I washed ourselves in mountain rivers and lakes for 4 weeks, it didn't seem so cold this time! Yes, it was cold, but very pleasant. We repeated the whole cycle about 4 times, because the sauna is quite busy and can only be booked for an hour. Anyway, it was a great experience! And I hope I can repeat it at least once more!
