To make good use of the time I have here, I decided on a few “projects”. Well, project is probably a strong word, I simply made a list of things that I want to develop, improve or try during my time here. One such thing is photography. I have been taking photos for a long time, in waves, sometimes I am happy with the photos, other times I am not so enthusiastic about them. But photography still remains a certain constant in my life and a form of self-expression, a way to capture important and ordinary moments, places, moods, people, and preserve memories of the transience of life. It also teaches me to see things differently, to be more attentive, to have open eyes, heart and mind for what is happening around me.
So far, I have taken two photo walks. The first was inspired by autumn. When you walk through a darkened landscape, the sky is cloudy, it is drizzling, leaves are falling from the trees, the flowers are frozen, puddles on the road, everything seems slightly melancholic, almost sad. All Souls' Day is approaching, visiting the cemetery, remembering all the loved ones who have already passed away. This year, I am remembering them from afar and I lit a candle in my room. I thought about everyone with whom I did not have time to say everything. But I am warmed by the hope that when I die one day, we will meet in heaven and there we will have enough time to tell each other all sort of things.

The second photo walk was in a completely different spirit. I wanted to see the city, which I already knew a little, through different eyes.
